The 2025 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit (WCLS), convened by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), gathered global cancer policy leaders to shape the next decade of cancer control and care. All.Can International was proud to contribute actively to this high-level dialogue, alongside several of its Board members and collaborators.

Mission Early: A Global Call to Strengthen Early Cancer Care

A major highlight of the Summit was the launch of the Mission Early Call to Action, a global initiative to improve early cancer care and patient outcomes.

The signatories, including the Institutul Oncologic “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuță” Cluj-Napoca (IOCN), UICC, Cancer Patients Europe (CPE) and All.Can International, set out a policy blueprint with three core priorities:

  • Improving access to best-practice screening and early detection, supported by robust monitoring systems.
  • Ensuring adherence to evidence-based early diagnosis guidelines.
  • Mandating clear timeframes for diagnosis and treatment, supported by timely access to modern technologies.

These priorities provide a roadmap for governments and healthcare systems to close the gap between policy and practice in early cancer management.

Bridging the Gap in Women’s Cancer Care

All.Can also contributed to discussions on the global policy report Bridging the Gap in Women’s Cancer Care, developed by the Swedish Institute for Health Economics (IHE).
The report exposes the wide disparities in outcomes for women’s cancers and highlights the social and economic burden of diseases that are often preventable or highly treatable.

The panel explored the need for greater and smarter investment in prevention, early diagnosis and treatment. It called on stakeholders to:

  • Recognise women’s cancers as a health priority and smart investment
  • Accelerate prevention and early detection efforts
  • Strengthen and streamline cancer care delivery
  • Leverage innovation across the full cancer care continuum
  • Embed gender equity in health systems
  • Build robust data ecosystems
  • Ensure Universal Health Coverage for all.

Renewed Global Ambition: The UICC World Cancer Declaration 2025–2035

Another pivotal moment of the Summit was the launch of the UICC World Cancer Declaration 2025–2035, a renewed commitment to measurable progress in cancer control.
The Declaration sets out global targets and guiding principles of equity, collaboration, evidence, sustainability and accountability to drive collective action over the next decade.

All.Can International is proud to endorse the Declaration, which aligns strongly with its mission: improving efficiency in cancer care so that every human, financial, and technological resource contributes to the best possible outcomes for patients and society.

The Declaration’s emphasis on data ecosystems, people-centred care, early detection and resilient health systems reflects the priorities advanced through the All.Can Action Guide for Efficient Cancer Care.

A Shared Vision for the Decade Ahead

The 2025 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit reaffirmed the global commitment to building more equitable, efficient and sustainable cancer care systems.
All.Can remains dedicated to working with partners worldwide to translate these commitments into concrete action ensuring that every step of the cancer care journey delivers real value for patients and society alike.
