Towards sustainable cancer care:
Reducing inefficiencies, improving outcomes
A policy report from the All.Can initiative. April 2018*
With the growing burden of cancer and pressures on limited healthcare budgets, past and current approaches to cancer care may not be sufficient for tomorrow. This report looks at improving efficiency in cancer care as a means of securing better health outcomes for patients and making better use of available resources as a result. It examines where system inefficiencies exist, collects examples of good practice and derives lessons from them to help trigger policy action.
*The report was originally published in January 2017. This edition has been updated to reflect changes to the membership of All.Can. No other changes have been made to the content of the report.
