Our Presidents – in addition to All.Can’s CEO, Board of Directors and Working Groups – have played a vital role in steering the organisation’s growth and impact. Below our All.Can International’s Presidents to date.
Alex Filicevas — President (2020–2023)

Alex Filicevas served as All.Can’s inaugural President from 2020 to 2023, and continued his support as Past President until his departure from the Board of Directors in 2025. His steadfast commitment to All.Can’s mission—to improve the efficiency of cancer care by prioritising what matters most to patients—has been central to defining the organisation’s identity and expanding its global reach.
While stepping down from the Board, Alex remains an active member of the All.Can community through the World Bladder Cancer Patient Coalition’s where he serves as Executive Director since 2019.
We extend our sincere gratitude for Alex’s leadership in launching All.Can and laying the strong foundation that has made the initiative what it is today.
Matti Aapro — President (2023–2025)

Matti Aapro, MD, served as President of All.Can from 2023 to 2025 and now holds the position of Immediate Past President, continuing to contribute as a member of the Board of Directors. Matti played a pivotal role in establishing All.Can International as a founding member and has been instrumental in its growth and transformation into the organisation it is today.
In his distinguished career as an oncologist, he has authored over 300 papers and received several prizes and honours. His main areas of interest are breast cancer, supportive care and geriatric oncology. Matti is member of the Board of Directors of the Cancer Center, Genolier, Switzerland and of the International Union for Cancer Control (UICC).
He holds many prestigious roles and responsibilities, including inter alia as President of Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), Executive Board Member of the International Society for Geriatric Oncology (SIOG), on the Board of the French-speaking Society for Supportive Care (AFSOS), Past-President of the European Cancer Organisation (ECO), member of the ECO International Committee, past-President of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and Scientific Advisor with the European School of Oncology (ESO).

Christobel Saunders — President (May 2025–Present)

Professor Christobel Saunders, MD, is the current President of All.Can. A globally recognised surgeon and cancer researcher, she is the James Stewart Chair of Surgery, Department of Surgery, at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Christobel brings over three decades of experience and an unwavering commitment to patient-centred innovation in cancer care.
Christobel’s clinical research interests cover several topics in cancer: cancer policy and outcomes research, clinical trials, endocrine and exocrine aspects of breast cancer, familial cancers and minimally invasive diagnosis and therapy for cancer. Beyond cancer, she is leading the development of a research and implementation programme in Person Centred Value-based healthcare across elective care including cancer, cardiovascular disease and elective surgery.
Her leadership marks an exciting chapter in All.Can’s mission to improve the efficiency of cancer care around the world.
Eduardo Pisani — CEO (2020–Present)

Each of All.Can’s Presidents has worked closely with the organisation’s dedicated and exceptional CEO, Eduardo Pisani, who has led All.Can since its inception in 2020.
Eduardo has contributed to advancing public policy discussions from a close vantage point, having over three decades of international experience in senior roles for global healthcare companies and associations. He spent most of his professional life in Brussels and Geneva, where he gained an in-depth knowledge of the functioning of the European Union and of multilateral organisations, particularly in the area of health and pharmaceutical policy and legislation. He served or is currently active on the board of international and European groups and on various advisory boards.
