All.Can’s work continues to inform the policy dialogue on how to make cancer care more efficient and person-centred. Recent European and regional reports have drawn on All.Can resources, including practical examples and research findings, to support evidence-based approaches for improving the organisation and delivery of cancer care.
All.Can is proud to share that its work has been recognised in two major European policy references, a testament to the growing impact of efficiency and person-centred approaches in cancer care.
The European Parliament has referenced one of All.Can’s Efficiency Hub cases, the Danish Cancer Patient Pathways, in its recent report evaluating the implementation of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
“A Cancer Patient Pathway serves as a roadmap for cancer care, allowing GPs to fast-track patients with alarm symptoms directly to hospital-based care. Denmark has been developing these detailed descriptions for over 20–25 years… All.Can, Danish Cancer Patient Pathways: three-legged strategy for faster referral and diagnosis of cancer, website.”

In addition, the Basque Country’s Comprehensive Cancer Plan 2025–2030 (Plan oncológico integral de Euskadi 2025-2030) cites All.Can’s Action Guide for Efficient Cancer Care as part of its benchmarking research underpinning the development of the plan. This acknowledgement builds on the collaboration that began in 2023 between All.Can Spain and the Basque health department, including joint work within the cancer screening framework. This ongoing cooperation continues to strengthen All.Can’s positioning and impact in Spain.
“All.can Spain congratulates the Basque government on its robust updated Comprehensive Cancer Plan 2025-2030. We will continue to work with national and regional authorities to help improve the approach to cancer in the Spanish National Health System.”
Pepe Fernández-Rúa, All.Can Spain Platform Coordinator
Together, these mentions underline the relevance of collaborative efforts to make cancer care more efficient, sustainable and focused on patients’ needs. They also reflect the contributions of the many organisations and individuals working together under the All.Can umbrella to share good practices and insights.
“It is encouraging to see All.Can’s work reflected in policy discussions at both European and regional levels. This reinforces the importance of continuing to share knowledge and evidence to improve cancer care for all.”
