In early 2025, the European Parliament’s Committee on Public Health (SANT) launched two key public consultations to gather input on rare diseases and women’s health, both now closed. Marking Rare Disease Day (28 February), the rare disease consultation invited patients, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders—including contributions from All.Can International—to share experiences and inform future policy, including the financing of European Reference Networks (ERNs). In parallel, to mark International Women’s Day (8 March), SANT also launched a consultation on women’s health, addressing persistent gender gaps in care, diagnosis, and research. The insights collected from both consultations are expected to shape upcoming legislative and policy efforts.
All.Can International responded to both consultations, sharing perspectives and recommendations informed by its global community and network. Our positions on rare diseases and women’s health are available in the documents below.
