FUNSALUD is a think tank that has been able to position in the public policy agenda proposals that have helped develop the Mexican Healthcare System. All FUNSALUD’s work is evidence-based and coordinates the discussion of the major health issues, linking health authorities, health specialists, academia, private and civil society organizations. FUNSALUD for eleventh consecutive year, in the 2020 Global Go to Think Tank Index Report at the University of Pennsylvania, FUNSALUD ranks #1 in Latin America as the Best National Health Policy Think Tank.
Having a healthy distance and a very respectful relationship with the sanitary authorities, we support Mexican Health Institutions in the attention of the biggest problems in the public health agenda, neither invading their functions nor duplicating efforts.
FUNSALUD is dedicated to promoting health equity and social inclusion through innovation and collaboration. The organization prioritizes equity and the reduction of health disparities in marginalized communities, and has established the Equity Laboratory to analyze social determinants of health in different communities, and to develop strategies to improve the quality of life of their residents.
