On 9 October 2026, All.Can International and City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together towards better access to quality cancer care.
Evidence for action
The partners will generate evidence on the value of system-level, locally owned solutions that improve access to quality cancer care. The aim is to bridge the gap between policy and practice and to support multi-stakeholder initiatives that strengthen health systems.
Real-world experience informing policy
C/Can will support All.Can’s advocacy with data, evidence and experience from cities. This will inform policy at local, national and global levels and help place cancer care within broader health agendas, including universal health coverage, SDG 3 and the New Urban Agenda.
Joint work on the ground
The partners will explore joint interventions on the ground that leverage All.Can’s network with C/Can’s implementation expertise to improve access to quality cancer care. They will also explore training for local stakeholders to strengthen advocacy for equitable cancer care, and will amplify each other’s work through coordinated communications and joint events.
The agreement builds on the two organisations’ work together at the All.Can Global Dialogues on 13 October 2026 in Brussels, where C/Can was the knowledge partner.
About C/Can
City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) is a global not-for-profit working so that where people live does not determine the quality of cancer care they receive. We work alongside local and national stakeholders in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to strengthen cancer care systems from the ground up, starting in cities, and to develop practical solutions that are locally owned, sustainable, and designed to scale. By sharing what works across cities, we help shape national policies and global standards, so that quality care reaches the people who need it most.
