The new ‘Foresight on Demand Brief in Support of the Horizon Europe Mission Board’, a report prepared by experts for the European Commission to inform the Cancer Mission Board’s strategy, draws on the importance of improving the efficiency of cancer care with reference to the 2017 All.Can policy report publication:

European Commission. (2021). ‘Mission Area: Cancer. Foresight on Demand Brief in Support of the Horizon Europe Mission Board’ (pg. 50)

The Mission on Cancer is one of the five Horizon Europe missions to tackle major challenges in Europe, now in full implementation phase with the following goal: “By 2030, more than 3 million lives saved, living longer and better”. The Cancer Mission will work in tandem with the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan to contribute to its objectives to reverse the burden of cancer in the region. For further information, please see the proposed Mission on Cancer here, and the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan communication here.

All.Can welcomes the Foresight Brief’s emphasis on improving the efficiency of cancer care and hopes that this will be reflected in the implementation of both the Cancer Mission and the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
