Brussels, 3 June 2026 — Sharp thinking, genuine engagement, and a topic deserving of every bit of energy in the room defined All.Can International’s high-level event held yesterday, Tuesday 2 June, at the European Parliament and online.

The event, titled “Europe’s investment challenge: financing efficient, person-centred cancer care pathways,” arrived at a critical juncture as active negotiations for the 2028–2034 EU budget get underway. With cancer systems across Europe facing unprecedented pressure from rising incidence, workforce shortages, and financial constraints, the discussion highlighted that smarter implementation, not just stronger commitments, is urgently needed.

Person-Centred Care is a Structural Strategy

The core message of the day was clear: person-centred care is not a soft reform. It is a vital structural strategy required to improve patient outcomes, strengthen experiences, and ensure the most efficient use of limited resources.

The event served as the platform to discuss All.Can International’s major new global report: “Implementing person-centred cancer care to improve outcomes, experiences and efficiency.
